Acrylic on Brick

On a walk one day through Brooklyn, in September 2024, I took notice of a large blank brick wall next to a new, unopened bakery on the corner of Bedford and Greene. The sun was shining on the wall and illuminating it beautifully and the idea for Bread City just came to me! After some research, I was able to get in touch with the bakery owners and they loved the idea! The entire process was so special to me from the start, as I lived and worked on the very same block for nearly 4 years. The support from the community was overwhelming and heartwarming. From start to finish, this mural took me about 2 months to complete. The warm colors of Bread City appear to glow on sunny afternoons, and the design has pulled a lot of customers inside for pastries!
